This viola has a clear tone with much carrying power. Made under the direction of a master luthier with the best available tonewoods, it has expertly tuned plates for optimal sound and response. The VA-F0E has a high-quality African ebony fingerboard and boxwood fittings. The instrument has a beautiful hand-applied, multi-layer spirit varnish done in the early 20th century Markneukirchen German style. This instrument has a Level IIO Professional Setup which includes a hand-cut, hand-fitted and adjusted soundpost, high-quality Aubert #7 bridge, hand-fit and lubricated pegs in matching material to other fittings, finely finished nut, fine planed and dressed fingerboard, properly adjusted tailgut, and Pirastro Obligato C, G, and strings, and a Larsen A string.
