Priority Service/Maintenance Agreement Terms

PRIORITY SERVICE/MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT

RETTIG MUSIC, INC. PRIORITY SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT INCLUDES LOSS BY FIRE OR THEFT AND ALL MAINTENANCE SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

  1. a. In the event the instrument deteriorates in performance for reasons other than misuse or neglect, Rettig Music, Inc. will repair, regulate, and return to playing condition at no charge.
    b. Damages that cannot be repaired to our satisfaction at Rettig Music, Inc. facilities will be sent to a suitable repair facility chosen by Rettig Music, Inc. and the renter shall be responsible for such repairs.
    c. Rettig Music reserves all rights in determining misuse or neglect.
    d. By acceptance of the service/maintenance agreement, renter agrees to pay all billable repairs within 10 days.

  2. We will pay up to $350.00 of the deductible on your homeowners insurance for an instrument destroyed by fire, or repair at our discretion. Proof of such loss must be presented and documented to Rettig Music, Inc. satisfaction,

  3. We will pay up to $350.00 of the deductible on your homeowners insurance for an instrument lost by theft provided such theft is reported to the local Police Department within 24 hours after the discovery of loss. A copy of such report is to be sent to Rettig Music, Inc., 510 Clinton, Defiance, OH 43512. IMPROPER OR CARELESS STORAGE IN AN UNSECURE AREA WILL NEGATE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPLACEMENT BY RETTIG MUSIC, INC.
  4. If such loss occurs as outlined in paragraphs 2 or 3, replacement instrument may only be supplied by Rettig Music, Inc. The deductible from renters insurance will be applied only to instrument described on original contract. Replacement instrument will be provided only after full settlement is made on original instrument.

  5. If there is no homeowners insurance in effect from renter (as outlined in paragraph 2 and 3) then renter is liable for any loss or damage of instrument, and all monies due and payable to Rettig Music, Inc.

  6. The deterioration of the finish, minor dents, and scratches are not covered. Accessories, such as drum heads, sticks, bows, reeds, mouthpieces, straps, lyres, strings, etc., are not covered.

  7. All repairs must be made by Rettig Music, Inc.

  8. Instrument is only covered if all fees are paid and up to date.

  9. This service agreement may be renewed up to 24 months following the initial rental providing there is no break in coverage. INSPECTION REQUIRED IF THERE IS A BREAK IN THE COVERAGE OF MORE THAN 15 DAYS.
    a. Renewal of service/maintenance agreement is not the responsibility of Rettig Music, Inc.

  10. This agreement applies only to the listed instrument and is non-transferable.
